Mezuzot are small scrolls with Biblical passages written on them, describing the commandments surrounding the basic doctrine of Jewish faith – the Shema. It is customary to kiss the Mezuzah as the Jewish tradition holds that it protects our houses from the evil eye and from illness. You can place a mezuzah on all of your doorways (except for the bathroom).
